This last weekend we photographed our last wedding of the year. It took place at the Historic Mission Inn in Riverside, Ca. What I love about photographing at the Mission Inn during the winter is that it is wonderfully decorated with thousands of Christmas lights thanks to their annual Festival of Lights event. If you’ve never been, take a trip down there. Kristina and Andrea had a gorgeous wedding with over 200 family and friends in attendance, a few of which came all the way from Romania. They were a very fun and super nice couple, and they were troopers with the cold weather we experienced – especially Kristina! Rain, winds, and just plain ol’ coldness didn’t stop this couple from giving some pretty great poses to get these portraits.
Their ceremony was touching and the beautiful bride was escorted by her Father and Step-Father together, something that seemed to be very important to all of them. I have to talk about her veil, it’s probably one of the most beautiful veils I’ve seen on a bride. With very traditional, intricate details and trailing behind her at about 15 feet long, Kristina looked like a real-life Princess on her wedding day. This wedding was a great way to end the year (which completely just sprung up on us – where did the year go!?) and I look forward to the new year and many more wonderful weddings.
